3. Purpose of the service
Église Locale is a directory and publishing platform for churches, federations, Christian institutions and gospel artists. Each organisation has a public page and can publish events, live services, media, announcements and newsletters. Browsing is open and free of charge; some features require a subscription described on the Pricing page.
4. Intellectual property
The website, its code, visual identity, trademarks and databases are the property of Quartile Conseils (Copyright Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. C-42, and international conventions). Any reproduction without prior written permission is prohibited.
Content published by organisations remains the property of its authors. Publishing it grants a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence limited to displaying, indexing and promoting the service, which ends when the content is removed. Users warrant that they hold the rights to what they publish. To report unlawful content: info@quartileconseils.ca — manifestly unlawful content is removed without delay.
5. Liability
Profile information (contact details, service times, events) is provided and kept up to date by the organisations themselves; checking it before publication does not guarantee permanent accuracy or currency. External links are beyond the publisher's control. The service is provided without any guarantee of uninterrupted access; it may be suspended for maintenance. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for indirect damages.
6. Personal information
Processing is governed by the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (CQLR, c. P-39.1, "Law 25") and, where applicable, by PIPEDA and the GDPR.

We collect: account data (name, email, encrypted password, language), content published by organisations, contact and support requests, newsletter subscriber addresses (double opt-in, in accordance with CASL) and technical data (truncated IP address, country of connection). They are used to provide the service, manage accounts and subscriptions, send service emails and, with consent, newsletters, and ensure security.
Personal information is neither sold nor rented. It is shared only with the providers that are strictly necessary: hosting, email delivery, payment (Stripe, PayPal, FedaPay, Airtel Money — bank details are entered with these providers and never pass through Église Locale's servers). It is kept for as long as needed for these purposes, then destroyed or anonymised, subject to legal retention periods [TO BE COMPLETED — retention periods].
Anyone may request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent, de-indexing or portability of their information from the person in charge — reply within thirty days. Recourse: Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca) or the authority of their country of residence. In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, the authorities and the persons concerned are notified.

9. Governing law
